Homemade Laundry Soap
I’ve been making my own laundry soap for longer than I can remember. It was born out of my need for a product that was friendly to my sensitive skin and didn’t contain any fragrances.
- It is free of any funky sounding chemical names (it is made from baking soda, boraxand a coconut/palm oil base pure soap – that’s all – nothing more)
- It is free of fragrances
- It works in cold water!
- It is easy on the wallet
- It is handmade for you and shipped right to your door.
How easy is that? No having to take the time to make the product, it is economical, and arrives right in your mailbox. I call that the easy way to help you go green.
Selling it was really born out of requests by family and friends. As I’ve said in other parts of my site, I get a lot of “how do you keep your clothes so clean”, to “teach me how to make that” to the best of all “I really like that stuff!”
I also got a ton of “I don’t have time to do that – can’t you just make it for me and I’ll pay you.” And, so, here we are.
Give it a try:
This is a powder product, not liquid. It is also low to no suds – so I hear it can go in front loader HE washers.
One week sample = approximately 6 loads — $2.00
One month = approximately 24 loads — $6.00
The stuff is concentrated. You only use 1 tablespoon per load. 2 tablespoons if you have dirty stuff. Explore what works best for you.
